Spriglet ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Spriglet mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the App.

By using Spriglet, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Overview

Spriglet is a guest-first app that helps parents and caregivers discover curated kid-friendly places nearby, such as parks, libraries, splash pads, and play spaces.

The App does not require an account, login, or profile. We do not offer user-generated content, saved favorites, or in-app messaging in the current version.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Location Information

If you grant permission, the App accesses your device's precise location while you are using the App ("when in use"). We use your location to:

• Show your position on the map
• Find and sort nearby curated places
• Calculate approximate distance to each place

When you browse places, your latitude and longitude may be sent to our servers as part of API requests (for example, to filter results within a radius). These coordinates are used to provide App functionality. They are not linked to your name, email, or any account, because the App does not have user accounts.

You can deny or later revoke location permission in your device settings. If you do, the App will still work using a default map area, but nearby sorting and distance information may be less accurate.

2.2 Information You Do Not Provide to Us

The App does not ask for or collect:

• Name, email address, or phone number
• Photos, videos, or other content you create
• Contacts, calendar, or health data
• Payment information

2.3 Automatically Collected Technical Information

When the App communicates with our servers, standard technical information may be processed by our hosting providers, such as:

• IP address
• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Date and time of requests
• General diagnostic or error information needed to operate and secure the service

This information is used to deliver content, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability. It is not used to build a personal profile or for cross-app advertising.

2.4 Information We Do Not Collect for Advertising or Tracking

We do not:

• Sell your personal information
• Use the App for targeted advertising
• Track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes
• Use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the current version of the App

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App
• Show curated places on a map and in a list
• Sort and filter places based on your location and selected filters
• Open external links you choose to use (for example, directions, a venue website, or a phone call)
• Protect against abuse, fraud, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only in these circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

We use trusted infrastructure and service providers to operate the App, such as cloud hosting, content delivery, and app update services. These providers process information on our behalf only as needed to provide their services and are contractually required to protect it.

4.2 When You Choose to Use External Services

If you tap actions such as Get Directions, Call, Visit Website, or Share, you may leave the App or interact with services operated by third parties (for example, Apple Maps, Google Maps, your phone dialer, or your device's share sheet). Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of the App.

4.4 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Because the App does not use accounts, we do not maintain a user profile for you.

• Location coordinates sent with API requests are used to return results and are not stored by us in a way that identifies you.
• Server logs containing technical information may be retained for a limited period for security, troubleshooting, and operations, then deleted or aggregated.

6. Children's Privacy

Spriglet is designed to help parents and caregivers find family-friendly places. The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing.

Because Spriglet does not require an account, we may not be able to identify you from the limited technical data we process. You can still:

• Control location access in your device settings at any time
• Stop using the App at any time
• Contact us with privacy questions or requests

Residents of certain U.S. states (including California) and residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and other regions may have additional rights under applicable law. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through the App. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Users

If you use the App from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the App or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
